Susan Tajra is originally from the U.S.A. She studied piano and oboe in New York . After graduating from the Juilliard School of Music, New York, she went to France to pursue her studies in piano and organ. She then decided to make Paris her home and it became a base for concerts in Europe and Asia, as well as in the United States.
Many of Susan’s piano and organ concerts and lecture-recitals have been for charitable, humanitarian and international organisations and causes. In addition to appearances throughout France, Belgium and Luxembourg, she has also performed in London, Rome and Geneva.
In 1993 Susan and her family founded the Susan L. Tajra Music Scholarship Trust, which has awarded scholarships annually to young classical keyboard musicians. Her most recent concerts have been in Paris, Ireland and Scotland (Edinburgh Festival), as well as a tour of the Midwest and New England in the United States in a series of duo-piano recitals. All funds collected are donated to the Scholarship Trust.
